JRPG.WORLD
ABOUT JRPG.WORLD

The original game remains the source of truth.

JRPG.WORLD explores what happens when original games remain intact, but their state, saves, mechanics and localization data become usable by the modern web.

JRPG.WORLD is an independent project by Raynor Eissens that builds modern web interfaces around original JRPGs: playable browser experiences with live game-state intelligence, save-aware tools for real hardware, and fan localizations. The original game remains the source of truth.

What JRPG.WORLD actually does

Some projects make the game itself playable alongside live intelligence. Some connect real console saves to browser tools. Some reverse-engineer mechanics so a planner can reason deterministically. Some are fan localizations that put translated text back into the original runtime.

The output changes by game. The rule does not: start from the real game state or release artifact, then build the useful web layer around it.

Independent project

JRPG.WORLD is an independent project by Raynor Eissens. The current public catalog, browser tools, reverse-engineering work and localization releases are developed as a solo project with extensive use of modern coding and language-model tools.

That tooling is part of the production method, not a replacement for provenance. Public releases record versions, supported sources, hashes, test boundaries and upstream credits where relevant.

Play + live state

The game is happening. The surrounding system understands what is happening.

Pokémon Emerald Live runs a user-supplied ROM locally in the browser and reads the running emulator memory read-only. That makes hidden values such as IVs, EVs, Nature, Ability and Hidden Power available in the same session as play.

Save as truth

Your character is the starting point.

Ragol Link reads an Original Xbox PSO character from an Xbox-formatted USB, validates it locally and bridges that verified state to JRPG.WORLD. MAG, hunt and gear tools can then start from what the player actually owns instead of a hypothetical endgame build.

Fan localizations

JRPG.WORLD hosts public localization surfaces for Xenosaga I+II DS in English and Dutch, Gloria Union in English and Phantasy Star Nova in English. These pages keep patching, proof, release boundaries and runtime context together.

No commercial game ROM or complete game APK is distributed by JRPG.WORLD.

Evidence before superlatives

JRPG.WORLD uses measured claims where possible: version numbers, translated-record counts, hashes, read-only access, runtime test scope and supported source identities.

When a prior-art statement cannot be proved absolutely, it is labeled as best-effort. Ragol Link, for example, is described as the first known direct Original Xbox PSO USB-to-browser save bridge, not as an unqualified historical world first.

A useful way to read the site

PLAY

Original games remain central.

READ

Game state, saves, mechanics and localization data become machine-readable.

UNDERSTAND

The site turns that truth into interfaces a player can use while playing, planning or patching.

VERIFY

Release pages expose the version, date, source, proof boundary, download and hash when one exists.
